Sales & Racing Festival Baden Baden
Before German gallop racing takes its winter break, the four-legged thoroughbred ladies will be able to show their skills once again: At the Sales & Racing Festival (Friday, October 19 to Sunday, October 21), the Winter Queen will be determined at the racecourse in Iffezheim. The Group III race for two-year-old mares is the highlight on Sunday afternoon. The focus of the first day is the Ferdinand Leisten Memorial Auction Race.
And if you have ever thought about buying a racehorse yourself, we recommend the BBAG Autumn Auction. By the way, on the grounds not far from the racecourse, Germany’s most legendary galloper in Europe was sold in 2010: Danedream. She was a bargain at the purchase price of 9,000 euros and went on to win the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe, among other prizes.
